Apple will fix iPhone 14 Pro camera shake

Post by Nahid#13 »

Apple will release a software update that will fix an issue with the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max's cameras . Using the camera in third-party apps such as Snapchat, Instagram or Tikor resulted in image shake on these models and a grinding or buzzing noise coming from the camera module. The company is "aware of the issue and a fix will be released next week." When bug reports started rolling in over the weekend, it wasn't clear if the issue was with the third-party apps themselves or with iOS 16, although the cameras worked fine in Apple's own app. Given that Apple is releasing an update, the issue seems to be with the iPhone and its APIs, not third party apps.

This won't be the first update to fix a camera issue on the iPhone 14 - iOS 16.0.1, released last week for Apple's latest phones, fixed an issue when zooming in landscape orientation on the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

A strange issue causing the rear camera to vibrate is only present on certain iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models and does not require repair by Apple - best not to use the camera in third party apps until you install a fix. It's unclear if next week's update will fix several other camera and Airdrop bugs that have been discovered on iPhone 14 models since their recent launch. The company is "aware of the issue and a fix will be released next week."
