Post by Nahid#13 »

Friday's D23 Expo presentations were all about animated films (and their remakes), but on Saturday all eyes were on Lucasfilm. Fans gathered in Hall D23 to await news of Star Wars and Indiana Jones 5, but Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy kicked off by talking about Willow, the new sequel series to George Lucas and Ron Howard's fantasy epic from 1988. Davis invited Christian Slater to the stage, revealing that the actor would be joining the series.

Slater revealed that he was a long-time fan of Lucasfilm's work and wanted a chance to join the fantasy franchise: "I love fantasy, science fiction," said Slater. “Just being part of Belize Mobile Number List this project was an absolute dream come true,” Slater revealed that his role is small, and he just showed up on set for a few days to add some humor to the show. "He's a very funny character," he said. "Surprisingly, we had to have some improvs and ad-libs, and we came up with a few things on the spot, which was a lot of fun." According to the official synopsis, "Willow" is an epic fantasy series with a modern sensibility set in an enchanted land that will take your breath away.

Willow features a diverse international cast with Jonathan Kashan, Ron Howard, Wendy Miracle, Kathleen Kennedy and Michelle Rawan serving as executive producers. The story began with an aspiring magician from the village of Newlyn and a little girl destined to unite the kingdoms, who together helped destroy the evil queen and drive out the forces of darkness. Now, in a magical world where cookies, wizards, trolls and other mystical creatures flourish, the adventure continues as an unlikely group of heroes embark on a perilous journey to places far beyond their home where they must face their inner demons and come together to save your world. Willow will be available on Disney+ on November 30, 2022. You can watch the new trailer below.
